How many countries are covered by the IP-CC?
The IP-CC covers more than 180 countries worldwide.
How often is the data verified?
All data providers of the IP-CC have current (24/7) access to their own data. They can change and update their cost-related information at all times on special, personal entry masks accessible only to the particular data provider.
Which kind of intellectual property can be cost calculated using the IP-CC?
You can use the IP-CC to calculate almost all intellectual property services. For example, the IP-CC covers services related to trademark filings, renewals and modifications (national trademarks, International Registrations , CTM), searches, domain name registrations, patent -, design- and utility model filings, etc.
How long does the IP-CC take to produce its calculations?
The IP-CC only takes a few mouse-clicks and seconds to provide you with the cost calculation results.
How does Brandstock get the data on patents offices and their fees and conditions?
The data on patent offices and their fees and conditions comes from the respective national offices. In addition to this, there is one selected associate regarding almost each country taking care of the verification and update of the data, if necessary.
The IP-CC shows results in all currencies. How are the exchange rates updated?
The IP-CC is connected to an internet currency converter. This ensures updated currency rates at all times.
Does the IP-CC only provide average costs?
No. The IP-CC provides both average costs and individual costs and fees of data providing agents and associates. To access the individual fees provided per jurisdiction, please click on the green "book-icon".
Using it
May I contact the fee providers listed in your directory?
Yes. You may contact all fee providers listed in the IP-CC and our associates' directory. Comprehensive contact details of all fee providers allow you to get in direct contact with them.
Can I save the cost calculations in my PC or network?
Yes. All calculation results can be saved. To do so, please click on the button "Print/Save" and use the respective functions.
Can I input my own data (my own service providers and their special fees) into the IP-CC?
Yes. However, to do so, you need a Customized Version of the IP-CC (not the Standard Version). Customized IP-CC Versions (Advanced, Premium or Attorney Version) allow you to cost calculate using your own network of service providers. In addition to this, Advanced and Premium Versions provide you with standard and special (reduced) rates of worldwide associates participating in Brandstock's network of associates as well as associates representing other users of Customized Version of the IP-CC.
What are the differences among the four versions of the IP-CC?
The Standard Version of the IP-CC provides standard fees provided by worldwide associates as well as official fees charged by worldwide patent and trademark offices.
The Advanced Version comes with all information included in the Standard Version. In addition to this, the Advanced Version allows you to include the special fees you are charged by your own network of associates. It also contains special fees of associates representing other users of Advanced or Premium Versions. All this cost information provides unique, comprehensive cost transparency! The data contained in the Advanced Version is acceptable exclusively to the particular user of the Advanced Version, e.g. your firm, respectively our company. The Advanced Version runs on Brandstock's server. It is licensed for an annual fee of Euro 2.975,-.
The Premium Version contains all information of a Standard and Advanced Version (see above). It can run on your own server - or on Brandstock's server. A Premium Version can be connected to your own trademark or patent management system. The Premium Version is purchased for a one-off price of EURO 15.000,-. There is an annual support fee amounting to EURO 2.270,-.
The Attorney Version is a Customized Version. You can use it to allow your clients the calculation of IP costs directly online, based on your firm's fees. In opposition to an Advanced or Premium Version (allowing for the comparison of fees of different service providers), the Attorney Version only displays one figure to the client. This figure contains, for example, your foreign colleagues' charges and expenses, official fees, your firm's professional fees, in-house costs and expenses, etc. The idea of an Attorney Version is not to provide the possibility to compare costs, but to deliver an extra service to the clients.
Can I list our practice in the directory of Associates?
Yes. To list your firm in the Associates Directory on www.ip-calculation.com, please join Brandstock's "Network of Associates". A participation in the network will also allow you to display your firm's costs and fees as well as other useful information in the IP-CC. Professional membership in the network is available for an annual fee of EURO 875,-. This allows you to display your costs and fees together with your comprehensive contact details in the IP-CC and the Associates Directory. To join the network online and be listed in the directory, please enter the section "Associate Membership" on www.ip-calculation.com.
